I got a Nikon D90 off the wife for Christmas , I am waiting for a couple of new lenses to arrive but have been playing around with the basic lens that came with the camera.
I think I am getting the hang of it and cant wait for my new lenses to arrive
Yeah they are a lovely fish Jim, I have a nice shoal of them and when the males start getting in spawning mode their colour goes deep red/orange and they look stunning
just a little info Jim, the vulcanus was confused with R reticulatus for as long as i can remember, some years ago BAS got a shipment of the true reticulatus which were a drab looking fish in comparison with vulcanus.
Andy rushworth bought some to see if they coloured up but they never did.
so you can probably find them in your shops listed reticulatus mate.
There's also speculation that vulcanus and reticulatus might turn out to warrant their own genus though I'm unsure of the reasons. Maybe the scaling is one of them?
they will Matt if youve ever seen the reticulatus you'd know mate.
the reticulata is tiny compared to vulcanus, in a way it looks like a brittani in miniature.
